Wee Siang Lee is Executive Director and Head of APAC Compliance at Paxos, a regulated blockchain infrastructure company providing trusted digital asset services, including stablecoin issuance and crypto brokerage. Paxos issues regulated digital assets including PayPal USD (PYUSD), Global Dollar (USDG) and Pax Gold (PAXG), and supports institutional use cases across payments, settlement and digital asset markets.

Based in Singapore, Wee Siang is a MAS-approved Executive Director of Paxos Digital Singapore, where he holds personal regulatory accountability for the governance, conduct and sound management of the licensed entity. In this capacity he contributes to business and licensing strategy, management decision-making and regulatory engagement, alongside his role as MLRO for Paxos’ Singapore entities and his oversight of regulatory strategy, AML/CFT and governance across the Asia-Pacific region. He works closely with regulators on digital asset market infrastructure, stablecoin frameworks, cross-border issuance models and the practical application of traditional financial crime controls to Web3.

Wee Siang has been with Paxos for six years and played a key role in Paxos’ successful attainment of two separate MAS payment services licences in Singapore, covering stablecoin-related activities and crypto trading activities. He also serves as Deputy MLRO for Paxos’ UAE operations, where he has been involved in FSRA licensing and regulatory supervision matters.

Prior to Paxos, Wee Siang built his career in private banking compliance with a focus on financial crime, rotating across KYC, transaction monitoring and quality assurance. This foundation in traditional financial services controls shapes his approach to bringing institutional-grade compliance standards to digital asset markets. He graduated with First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore Business School.
