Adrienne A. Harris
Superintendent New York Department of Financial ServicesAdrienne A. Harris was confirmed by the Senate as Superintendent of the New York Department of Financial Services on January 25, 2022.
Superintendent Harris began her career as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York City representing a number of U.S. and non-U.S. based corporations in various forms of litigation and regulatory matters, before accepting a position at the United States Department of the Treasury under President Obama.
While at the Treasury Department, Superintendent Harris served as a Senior Advisor to both Acting Deputy Secretary and Under Secretary for Domestic Finance Mary Miller, and Deputy Secretary Sarah Bloom Raskin. Her work ranged from financial reform efforts to identifying solutions to the student loan crisis, analyzing the nexus between foreign investment and national security, and working to promote financial inclusion and health in communities throughout the country.
Following her time at the Treasury Department, Superintendent Harris joined The White House, where she was appointed as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, as part of the National Economic Council. In this role, she managed the financial services portfolio, which included developing and executing strategies for financial reform and the implementation of Dodd-Frank, consumer protections for the American public, cybersecurity and housing finance reform priorities.
After leaving the White House in January 2017, Superintendent Harris went on to serve as General Counsel and Chief Business Officer at States Title, Inc. (now DOMA), which provides a more simple and affordable closing experience for homebuyers.
Prior to joining DFS, Superintendent Harris served as a Professor and as Faculty Co-Director at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy's Center on Finance, Law and Policy at the University of Michigan, as well as a Senior Advisor at the Brunswick Group in Washington, D.C.
Since taking over at DFS, Superintendent Harris has taken decisive actions on defining issues such as climate change, financial inclusion, and New York’s continued leadership on digital currency regulation.
Angel Zhao
President of International Business Ant GroupMs. Zhao has been the president of our international business group since January 2020.
From June 2017 to January 2020, Ms. Zhao worked at Alibaba and served as the president of global business group and has subsequently served as the president of Fliggy since March 2018. Ms. Zhao joined us in May 2013 and successively served as our vice president of finance and chief operating officer of our international business group until June 2017. Prior to that, Ms. Zhao served as the vice president of finance for Taobao, Tmall and Alimama from October 2009 to April 2013. Ms. Zhao became a certified public accountant since April 1998. Ms. Zhao obtained a master’s degree in accounting from Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics, currently known as Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in June 1999 and an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School in October 2011.
Annabelle Huang
Managing Director Amber GroupPrior to joining Amber Group, Annabelle Huang served as the Asia lead at AirSwap, a decentralised trading platform that enables peer-to-peer trading on the Ethereum blockchain. Before transitioning into digital assets, she advised private equity funds, US corporates and hedge funds on structured solutions and risk management as an FX structurer at Deutsche Bank and Nomura in New York.
Annabelle’s deep understanding in traditional finance markets, in combination with her expertise on how institutions and macro markets work, has played a key role in helping develop the product strategy and solutions delivered through Amber Group. She is now a Managing Partner at Amber Group overseeing global expansion of the company's institutional and retail product offerings as well as its marketing strategies.
Annabelle is committed to supporting people who are new to the crypto industry, and she is an advocate for more women to be part of the crypto conversation. She is a mentor of the Female Entrepreneurs Worldwide (FEW) Incubator, Asia DeFi Network, and Brinc Accelerator.
Anthony Tan
Co-founder & Group CEO GrabAnthony Tan is Group CEO and Co-Founder of Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading mobile technology company. He and his team transformed Grab from a taxi-booking app to the leading superapp platform in Southeast Asia, offering on-demand services including mobility, food, package and grocery delivery, mobile payments, and financial services.
Anthony is at the forefront of the "Grab for Good" social impact programme - which include partnerships and initiatives to drive digital literacy, economic inclusion and the development of technology skills across Southeast Asia.
Anthony is passionate about servant leadership and serving others in his community. In his personal capacity, he supports a range of causes in the region, such as Transform Cambodia which rescues and protects street children and offers them healthcare, education and life skills.
Under Anthony's leadership, Grab has also received global recognition for its innovation and impact in the region, including ranking second on Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2019, being on CNBC's Disruptor 50 list for the last four years consecutively, and making Fortune's Change the World list in 2020.
Anthony has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Public Policy) from the University of Chicago, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Balaji Srinivasan
Former Chief Technology Officer, Coinbase & Former General Partner, a16zBalaji Srinivasan (@balajis) is an angel investor and entrepreneur. Formerly the CTO of Coinbase and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, he was also the cofounder of Earn.com (acquired by Coinbase), Counsyl (acquired by Myriad), Teleport (acquired by Topia), and Coin Center.
Bernadette Puyat
Deputy Governor Bangko Sentral ng PilipinasMs. Bernadette Romulo Puyat graduated from the University of the Philippines where she pursued her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Economics.
She was a former lecturer at the UP School of Economics from 1994 to 2006, which preluded her life dedicated to public service. She served as an Economic Consultant at the Housing and Urban Development Coordination Council (HUDCC) (2001-2002) and the Presidential Management Staff (2005-2006), and was Deputy Cabinet Secretary at the Office of the President in 2006.
From 2007 to 2018, she served as Undersecretary at the Department of Agriculture where she handled Special Concerns, Administration and Finance, Agribusiness and Marketing, and Regional Engagements.
Furthermore, she strengthened the Department’s engagement with special sectors such as the women, elderly, youth, and indigenous people through her leadership in the Gender and Development Focal System. She was also designated to handle agricultural credit while serving at the DA.
From 2018 to 2022, she served as Secretary of the Department of Tourism, with Sustainable Tourism as the overarching theme of her leadership. Equally important were her efforts towards the recovery of the tourism sector during the COVID-19 pandemic such as the vaccination of tourism workers, as well as the institutionalization and planning of health and safety protocols in various tourism establishments and destinations.
In June 2022, she was appointed as Deputy Governor for Regional Operations and Advocacy Sector (ROAS) at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). She also serves as an alternate to the Governor in several Governing Boards of National Agencies.
Bram Cohen
Director, Chairman, CEO & Founder Chia Network IncBram Cohen is the inventor of BitTorrent, which is the most used protocol for peer-to-peer file sharing over the internet. In 2009, BitTorrent accounted for 43% to 70% of all internet traffic. Bram is often accused of being Satoshi Nakamoto – a claim he denies. Bram founded and was initial CEO of BitTorrent, Inc in 2004. During his time at BitTorrent he worked in various roles as an Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and member of the Board of Directors. He left BitTorrent in August 2017 to found Chia Network. He has served as Chairman and CTO of the Chia Network since its founding and, since June 2019, as CEO. Bram is one of the top selling puzzle designers in the world.
Brian Armstrong
Co-founder & CEO CoinbaseBrian Armstrong is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Coinbase. Founded in 2012, Coinbase is building the cryptoeconomy - a more fair, accessible, efficient, and transparent financial system enabled by crypto. Coinbase serves over 103 million verified users, 14,500 institutions, and 245,000 ecosystem partners in over 100 countries. In April 2021, Coinbase listed publicly on NASDAQ as COIN.
Before founding Coinbase, Brian served as a software engineer at Airbnb where he focused on fraud prevention. Before Airbnb, Brian founded and was CEO of Universitytutor.com, an online tutoring directory and a subsidiary of Johnson Educational Technologies LLC. Brian also previously served as a consultant for the enterprise risk management division at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Brian has a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics and an M.S. in Computer Science from Rice University.
