    How it works

    1. Register – Register your interest via the form by 12 Oct 2026. You'll be notified of the outcome by 16 October, and successful applicants will have their mentor profile created for the app.
    2. Set Your Availability – Commit at least 2 hours between 1–5pm, 18–20 Nov 2026 at the PIF Lounge (Hall 3).
    3. Meet Mentees – Approve requests in the app; meetings will be scheduled automatically with table assignments.

    How it works

    1. Register – Register within the app. Please ensure you have already registered for a SFF pass.

Mrs Laura Steer

Head of Enterprise Risk Management

Laura Steer is a senior risk leader and former Chief Risk Officer with more than 16 years of international experience at HSBC. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles across Corporate Banking, Change and Transformation, and Risk and Compliance, giving her a broad perspective on how organisations can manage uncertainty while continuing to grow and innovate.

Laura has worked across the UK, Hong Kong and Lebanon, with additional international experience through assignments in India, Kuwait and Australia. She also served as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Board Director in Mauritius, where she led risk management through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In her current role as Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in Singapore, Laura oversees a wide-ranging portfolio spanning operational and resilience risk (including technology and cyber security risk, third party risk and data risk), climate risk, model risk, geopolitical risk and emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and digital assets. She also leads on enterprise risk oversight, risk appetite, culture, governance and strategy.

A passionate coach, mentor and facilitator, Laura enjoys helping people build confidence, challenge their thinking and navigate important career decisions. Her international experience and varied career journey enable her to offer practical, balanced perspectives to people at different stages of their professional development.

Outside work, Laura is kept happily - and energetically - on her toes by her two young daughters. She also enjoys travelling, reading and making time for the gym.
