Michael Casey

Michael Casey is Chief Content Officer at Real-World Asset Summit, the leading tokenization event series, which brings together communities from traditional finance and blockchain technologies to advance the conversation around the digital, on-chain transformation of finance.

He is also Cofounder and President the Advanced AI Society, a non-profit industry association promoting and coordinating the development of an open standard for verifiable AI that gives enterprises and institutions Proof-of-Control over their data and AI agents. And he is CEO and Cofounder of H2H Intelligence, which is developing secure, privacy-preserving AI solutions to improve human-to-human networking, data-sharing and collaboration at in-person events.

Previously, Michael was the Chief Content Officer at CoinDesk, the leading media platform for the blockchain and digital asset community, and the author of CoinDesk’s weekly Money Reimagined newsletter, as well as a co-host of the podcast of the same name.

Before that, he spent four years as a Senior Advisor to MIT Media Lab’s Digital Currency Initiative and as a senior lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Michael spent most of his career as a print journalist, including 18 years at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, where he was last a senior columnist covering global finance. He also hosted online TV shows for WSJ Live and appeared as a commentator on networks such as CNBC, CNN, Fox Business, and the BBC.

Michael has six acclaimed books to his name, including two on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology – The Truth Machine and The Age of Cryptocurrency – both co-authored with Paul Vigna and, most recently, Our Biggest Fight, co-authored with the founder of Project Liberty, Frank McCourt Jr.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Western Australia and has higher degrees from Cornell University and Curtin University.
