Tahir Zafar

Tahir Zafar is the International Head of AI Strategy at Nomura, where he leads the firm’s innovation agenda to scale responsible and strategic AI transformation across global business lines and functions. Based in Singapore, he advises C-suite stakeholders on embedding AI into the fabric of the organization while balancing innovation with trust.

Prior to Nomura, Tahir held senior leadership roles at PwC and Accenture, where he advised a range of top-tier investment banks including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, UBS, and Barclays. He has successfully delivered complex, high impact initiatives in AI and data strategy, business and digital transformation, and regulatory change.

A recognized thought leader, Tahir has worked across London, Madrid, New York, and Singapore, bringing a global perspective. He is a regular speaker at global conferences and industry summits, sharing his insights on the integration of responsible and ethical AI in Financial Services.

Tahir holds a degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
