      Taka Yamada is Principal at Quona Capital, a leading global venture capital firm dedicated to investing in innovative technology companies that drive financial inclusion and economic opportunity in the Global South. At Quona, he is focused on its Asia investments and portfolio support.

      Prior to Quona, Taka was a part of the founding team in the Financial Services Unit at Grab, a leading SuperApp in Southeast Asia, where he led strategy, M&A and fundraising efforts across the region. He also held leadership roles in Grab's lending and payment businesses in Indonesia. Previously he was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and in charge of projects on strategy, marketing and operations across emerging markets including Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East.

      Taka holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Tokyo.
