ASEAN's fintech industry is entering a new phase of maturity, shifting from rapid expansion towards sustainable business models, intelligent financial infrastructure and meaningful commercial impact. Artificial intelligence, digital assets, tokenisation and increasingly interconnected payment networks are transforming financial services and creating opportunities for greater efficiency and financial inclusion. Yet realising their potential requires navigating fragmented markets, evolving regulation, cybersecurity threats and growing expectations around trust and operational resilience. Against this backdrop, the FinTech in ASEAN 2027 report will examine how the region’s FinTech ecosystem is evolving, where investment and innovation are gaining momentum, and what it takes to scale across diverse ASEAN markets.
