      Phil Hedayatnia is a designer and the co-founder of Airfoil, a design firm with an AI research team, based in Singapore and San Francisco. Since 2019, Airfoil has worked on 400+ projects for companies including Exa, Reducto, Vapi, Juicebox, ByteDance, Hedra, SF Compute, David AI and Deep Cogito, helping them turn complex, often intimidating technology into brands and products that people understand and trust.

      Through Airfoil Research, Phil also works with frontier AI labs, building the tests and datasets they use to measure whether their models can actually design, and helping their enterprise clients put those models to work.

      Originally from the United States, Phil studied cognitive science at Rice University and was the first designer at South Park Commons, a community and venture fund founded by two of Meta's founding team. He now splits his time between Singapore and San Francisco. He speaks often on design and AI, most recently at AI Engineer Singapore, FUTUREMODE in Taipei, Valio Con in California and FuseCon in Kuala Lumpur.
