Masashi Watanabe is a Managing Director, Deputy Head of Digital Strategy Division and Head of Digital Asset in MUFG Bank, leading the Digital Asset Business Development team based in Tokyo, Japan.
He has been involved in the bank’s business development for more than 25 years, including Transaction Banking, IT & Payments and Digitalization area, having worked abroad in London and Bangkok.
Prior to his current role, he took part in developing a payment platform utilizing blockchain technology in Tokyo.
