Shi Mei Chin

Shi Mei Chin is the Chief Financial Officer of Spark Systems, a Series C FinTech company backed by Citi and HSBC. She has been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth and strategic direction, overseeing the finance function and contributing to key initiatives including fundraising, SPAC and M&A negotiations, and IPO readiness.

Previously, Shi Mei worked in Audit and Assurance for Banking and Capital Markets across the Big Four firms globally, where she helped pioneer PwC’s FinTech team — a one-stop solution for FinTech clients encompassing audit, assurance, consulting, and regulatory services.

Actively involved in the broader FinTech ecosystem, Shi Mei currently serves as Treasurer (2021–present) of the Singapore FinTech Association. She was also a Sub-Committee Member (2019–2020) of Women in FinTech, an initiative that profiles and recognizes women leaders in the industry.

A strong advocate for innovation and mentorship, she is also a mentor with Tenity Incubator & Accelerator, a global innovation ecosystem with offices in Zurich, Singapore, Madrid, and Barcelona. Shi Mei was named one of the Top 50 FinTech Leaders in Asia in 2019.

She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and has recently completed her Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.
