As the Head of Economic and AI Policy, Rachel leads on competition and AI policy issues across the Asia-Pacific. She is based out of Singapore, and joined the AWS Public Policy team about 3 years ago. Prior to joining Amazon, Rachel served as a Legal Service Officer with the Singapore government. She served as an antitrust counsel in the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (the Singapore competition enforcer). Whilst there, she led teams focused on competition legal and policy reforms in the digital sector, including market studies into the e-commerce sector in Singapore. Prior to that, she served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor, specializing in drug and vice crimes. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National University of Singapore, and a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.
