Dr. Jian Jiangtao

Mr. Jian Jiangtao serves as the Managing Director of UnionPay International Southeast Asia, leading the organization's strategic development and operations across the region. His responsibilities include driving business expansion, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing the service experience for UnionPay cardholders in Southeast Asia.
Before assuming this role, Mr. Jian was the Managing Director of UnionPay International South Pacific. In this capacity, he successfully promoted UnionPay's presence and growth in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Island countries, fostering long-term relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Mr. Jian brings over 16 years of expertise at UnionPay, having held key leadership positions at its Shanghai headquarters, including Head of Business Operations and Head of Global Innovative Products. He played a pivotal role in advancing UnionPay's innovative payment solutions and streamlining business operations globally.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Jian gained valuable experience at Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he contributed to the development of advanced technological solutions.
Mr. Jian holds a Ph.D. in Engineering (Electronic Science & Technology) from the University of Science and Technology of China, reflecting his strong technical foundation and analytical acumen.
