Nobuyuki Kawabata

Nobuyuki Kawabata is Executive Vice President and Director of SBI Investment Co., Ltd., where he takes care of the largest investment activities in Japan for startup and VC.
Before joining SBI Investment, he served as Executive Senior Director at KPMG for promoting Foreign Asset Management, Private Equity and Real Estate investment in Japan.
Before KPMG, he worked for Executive Senior Management Officer at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG) mainly Americas and Asian Division.
Throughout his career, he worked International Banking and Capital Markets Business to achieve Large US & Asian Customers, Mergers and Acquisitions and Latin America business. During his career, White House invited several times to discuss US taxation matters.
He has also held board positions including Moore Capital, SMBC Americas Division, Nippon Otis Elevator Ltd., Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd., where he served as Chairman of the Board.
