Janet Uy is a Sr. Cloud Solution Architect Manager for Data & AI covering ASEAN, ANZ and Korea for Microsoft Small, Medium, Corporate and Digital (SMCD). Prior to Microsoft, she was Oracle’s Data Science Lead for ASEAN, as well as Solution Engineering Lead for Singapore. On top of her technical role, she has been actively driving education and evangelization of data science, particularly around Big Data, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Throughout her career, she has handled projects in various industries such as telecommunications, retail, smart cities, fintech, insurance, oil & gas, and manufacturing in Asia Pacific, Central America, and Africa. Janet has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from De La Salle University Manila and has pursued her PhD In Industrial & Systems Engineering at the National University of Singapore.

I am interested in becoming a Pay It Forward mentor because I want to share my knowledge and experience in data science, specifically in AI/ML, with the next generation of data enthusiasts and/or professionals. I have been working in the field of data and AI for over 15 years, across different industries and regions. I have seen how analytics/ML/AI can transform businesses and society, and I want to help others achieve their goals and aspirations using data. As a mentor, I hope to provide guidance, support, and inspiration to mentees, as well as learn from them and their diverse perspectives!
