Mr Mathew Joseph

Mathew Joseph is the Director and Head of CIMB Bank Artificial Intelligence Labs and serves on its Board of Directors. CIMB is a leading multi-national bank with operations across 14 countries and total assets exceeding USD 156 billion. In his role, Mathew spearheads the design and deployment of cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions that power CIMB’s extensive banking operations throughout Asia. With over 32 years of experience in the technology and financial services sectors, Mathew has held senior leadership positions at global giants such as IBM, TCS, and Siemens. His academic qualifications include an MBA from BITS Pilani, Post graduation in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Chicago, and a B.Tech from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum. Beyond the corporate world, Mathew is deeply committed to academia and mentorship. He is an Adjunct Faculty at both the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and IIM Nagpur, an official mentor at IIT Bombay's Entrepreneurship Cell, and a mentor for the Kerala Government Startup Mission. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member at Christ University department of Data Science and as a Board of Studies member at Marian College Kuttikkanam. Internationally recognized for his leadership in artificial intelligence, Mathew is an honorary advisor to the FinTech Association of Sri Lanka and the Asian FinTech Academy. He is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and has delivered 285 talks at leading international conferences and prestigious academic institutions.
