Products and Services

  1. TOPPAN Authentication

TOPPAN Authentication replaces passwords, hardware tokens and SMS codes. In their place, the customer’s own device generates a key, and that key never leaves the device. There is no shared secret, so a phishing page has nothing to collect, and the mobile number is no longer part of the authentication, so a SIM swap gains nothing. Where the institution wants a second check, it can add a biometric factor on top of the key. *Features: A device-bound key that never leaves the phone / No shared secret and no SMS code / An optional biometric check run on your servers / Runs inside your own app. *Use cases: Mobile banking login / High-value transaction confirmation / Phone loss and replacement / Branch staff and banking agents.

  2. TOPPAN Wallet

The person has to keep the credential somewhere they control, and TOPPAN Wallet is the app that holds it. The wallet carries your brand rather than ours. A bank or a government decides which credentials go inside the wallet, then publishes the app under its own name on the App Store and on Google Play. Credentials stay on the phone. The holder releases the one fact the verifier asks for and nothing else, and gives consent every time. The check also works when the phone has no network connection. No central database of everyone’s identity sits behind the wallet, and most people read that as a privacy feature, but it is a security feature first, because a database that does not exist cannot be breached.

  3. TOPPAN Issurance

TOPPAN Issuance is the back end a government uses to issue digital identity credentials to its population, update them when a holder’s details change, and revoke them when it needs to withdraw one. A bank can check any of those credentials without ever contacting the ministry that issued them. *Features: Issues, updates and revokes across a credential’s full lifetime / One data model carries any credential type /Several issuing authorities run on one system / Cloud or on premises, alongside an existing identity management system. *Use cases: A national mobile ID for a whole population /Issuing the moment a life event is registered / Withdrawing a credential when entitlement ends.

  4. TOPPAN KYC

Until that credential exists, the bank has to establish identity by itself, and it has to do that on a stranger, in a few minutes, from a photograph. TOPPAN KYC does that work at the point of application. It confirms that the document is genuine, that the face in front of the camera belongs to a live person rather than a photograph or a deepfake, and that the name is clean against sanctions and watchlists. All three checks run in one workflow, with no manual review queue. It runs on the institution’s own infrastructure, on premises or in a private cloud, so the documents and the biometric data stay inside the bank and never move to a vendor.
