Co-head Sustainable Finance APAC, UBS


Tasos, has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector in UK and APAC.



He is the Co-Head of the APAC Sustainable Finance Office, part of UBS’s Group Chief Sustainability Office, and it’s objective is to enable business divisions ESG capabilities and responsible for client engagements in transition, decarbonization and impact of emerging ClimateTech.



In his role he is responsible for implementing UBS’s client transition framework in APAC and support relationship managers in investment and financing client engagements including advising Family offices and UHNW on integrating and increasing Sustainability and Impact capital allocations



He represents the firms Net Zero strategy with regulators in the region and Co-chairs the cross agency capacity building working group in developing Sustainable Finance talent in Hong Kong. He has been a contributing author of The Green Inflection Point – Driving decarbonization of the real economy, launched from the UBS Sustainability & Impact Institute



Tasos leads UBS's global Carbon Solutions efforts and represents the firms initiatives in Carbon forums and strategic initiatives including Carbonplace, a carbon credit settlement infrastructure platform developed by a consortium of financial institutions.





Education / Qualifications



Tasos holds a Master in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College and an MBA in Entrepreneurship. He holds certificates in in Sustainable Investing from CSP University of Switzerland, CFA ESG Investing, CFA Climate, Risk, Valuation and Investing, Sustainability and Climate Risk from GARP and Circular Economy from Cambridge and is a Certified Al Gore Climate Reality Leader speaker.
He has further advanced his knowledge in Alternative Investments from Harvard and Impact Investing from Columbia university.
