Ahmed Mazhari

Ahmed Mazhari is the Founder of a new AI venture building the intelligence layer for enterprise reinvention—where artificial intelligence, domain knowledge, and human intent converge to transform how organisations think, learn, and execute in real time. The start-up, a joint venture with SMFG, is developing software tools that bring AI directly to the user, empowering them to execute and build—accelerating the capacity and velocity of change while harnessing the opportunities of rapid technological advancement. SMFG is both strategic partner and customer zero, ensuring the solutions are grounded in real enterprise needs and deliver measurable impact at scale, while maintaining control of standards and policies.

In parallel, Ahmed serves as Executive Advisor for AI Transformation at SMBC Group, guiding a multi-year reinvention to pivot the Group to lead in the era of AI. His work spans talent, infrastructure, and innovation.

He also serves on the board of WWF Singapore, is a director at MindForward Alliance (advancing workplace mental health), and is a board member of the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Future Economy Advisory Panel, promoting financial empowerment and inclusion. Across these platforms, he is deeply committed to purpose-led innovation and sustainable societal progress.

Previously, as President of Microsoft Asia, Ahmed led the company’s business across 20 countries, overseeing 30,000 employees and 100,000 partners. He championed digital transformation at scale—driving growth, resilience, and innovation across both public and private sectors.

Before Microsoft, Ahmed spent over two decades at GE and Genpact, where he served as Chief Growth Officer and spearheaded global expansion across industries and markets. His international leadership journey spans six countries and three decades, with a focus on transformation, human capital, and technology as levers of impact.

Ahmed brings a rare blend of operational rigour, visionary thinking, and deep cultural fluency to everything he builds. His work continues to centre on the intersection of business success, human development, and responsible AI.
