Nils Andersen-Röed

Nils Andersen Röed is the Global Head of Financial Intelligence Unit at Binance. In this role, Nils is responsible for overseeing the department that keeps illicit actors off the platform and prevents malicious activities from happening. He also proactively supports and collaborates with law enforcement agencies and regulators as part of his role. His work helps Binance to maintain a safe and secure platform where users’ funds are protected. Prior to this role, Nils was the Head of Intelligence and Investigations for EMEA at Binance.

Nils joined Binance from Europol, where he was a specialist on the Dark Web team. He coordinated and supported global law enforcement operations against criminality happening on the dark web. Prior to that, Nils was the Project Leader of the Dark Web Unit of the Dutch National Police. He was also the Project Leader of Operation Bayonet, leading to the takeover and takedown of the dark web marketplaces Hansa Market and Alphabay.
