Subhashini Chandran

Subhashini Chandran has championed inclusive growth for 25 years with a focus on small businesses, women-led enterprises in global value chains, sustainable livelihoods, job creation, and multi-stakeholder partnerships. As Senior Vice President, Social Impact, APEMEA at Mastercard, she oversees the Center’s programs, data and insights, strategic engagement, and partnerships. She is a Yale World Fellow, Chevening Gurukul Fellow, and alum of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program.
Earlier, Shuba led social impact at Yara International across Africa and Asia, establishing its social impact vertical and first five-year strategy, and directed Vikaasa, a coalition of global companies convened to accelerate India’s SDG progress. She has also advised UK Aid’s Rural Access Programme in Nepal and AgDevCo in Sub-Saharan Africa, and expanded her family’s tea business into one of India’s largest, employing over 7,000 women. She has taught at XLRI Jamshedpur and studied at LSE, City University, Oxford, Harvard, and Stanford.
