Firas Al Lawati

Firas Al Lawati, Deputy CTO for Digital Transformation in the Central Bank of Oman. With a wealth of experience as the former General Manager of Information Technology Directorate, former General Manager of Payment Systems and Head of Fintech Committees in the Central Bank of Oman, Firas brings extensive knowledge and expertise to his current role as the Deputy CTO for Digital Transformation. He is holding master’s degree in accounting and business information technology from the University of New South Wales, Sydney and bachelor's degree from Sultan Qaboos University. His contributions span beyond the workplace, as he actively participates in local and international conferences, sharing insights and fostering collaboration. Known for his strategic mindset, Firas has successfully led and delivered numerous key projects and initiatives, driving organizational growth, digital finance, digital transformation, payment systems, technology and innovation. In addition to his professional role, Firas is a member of a government committees and also serves on the advisory boards of two prominent colleges in Oman.
