Kathleen Gan

Kathleen Gan was appointed as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for Asia and Middle East on June 1, 2025. During her tenure with the bank, she has held a variety of leadership positions, including Deputy to the Group CFO, CFO for Asia Pacific, CFO and CRO for Global Commercial Banking, and COO for North America Finance.

Kathleen began her career at General Electric in 1997, where she gained extensive international experience across various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and capital markets.

Kathleen is also currently serving as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Hang Seng Bank Limited and as a Director of HSBC Asia Holdings Limited.

She holds an honors bachelor's degree in Banking and Business from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and is a Henry Crown Fellow at The Aspen Institute. In 2024, she completed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Program, a Berkeley Executive Education with the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
