Hiro Kiga is the founder and CEO of Wallex, a Singapore-based cross-border payments fintech company which was acquired by M-DAQ in 2022. Today, the company has over 150 employees spread across its offices in Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Before founding Wallex in 2016, Hiro sat on the other side of the table as a VC, helping companies such as GREE Ventures (now known as Strive Ventures) and Yello Mobile to invest in early stage start-ups. Hiro's experience as a VC investor and as a founder enables him to share his valuable perspective with budding entrepreneurs in his capacity as a mentor and an angel investor. He regularly speaks at founders meets, focusing on those in the ASEAN region and has helped many of them on their path to success.
