See-Kiong Ng is Director of Technology at AI Singapore. He is also a Professor of Practice at NUS’ School of Computing and the founding Deputy Director of the university’s Institute of Data Science. See-Kiong obtained both his B.Sc and PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. With a research passion in using data science and AI to unravel the complexity of the real world, See-Kiong started his transdisciplinary and translational research career as one of the early bioinformaticians in the 1990s, helping biologists to better understand the biology of the human body by mining genomics data. See-Kiong has since been applying what he had learned from bioinformatics to a wide array of real-life application domains ranging from human cities to internet-of-things, with more than 150 research papers across multiple disciplines to-date.
