Peter De Caluwe is the CEO of Thunes, a Singapore-based global payment infrastructure platform. Under his leadership, Thunes has transformed into a world-leading fintech company, facilitating seamless cross-border transfers for the world’s fastest-growing businesses worldwide. With over 25 years of experience in the payments industry, Peter is a serial entrepreneur, successful angel investor, and a driving force in the ecosystem.

Peter was previously CEO of Ogone (now Ingenico ePayments), overseeing its transformation into a global payments service acquired for €360 million in 2013. He then joined Naspers (now Prosus) as CEO of Fintech, where he played a pivotal role in growing PayU into a global fintech vertical. As CEO of DT One, he tripled revenue growth to over US$500 million in three years and incubated Thunes, raising over US$150 million in funding and doubling its valuation in less than two years.

Peter's remarkable track record extends to mentoring over 30 global businesses and earning recognition as one of the Top 50 Financial Technology CEOs by the Financial Technology Report. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from KU Leuven - Belgium and is fluent in Dutch, English, French, and German. Peter is based in Singapore with his wife and two children.
