Singapore Sustainability Spotlight - More 'Green Bees': How Singapore’s Queen Bees are Stepping Up to Mobilise SME Value Chains

SMEs are the backbone of the economy and essential to driving meaningful decarbonisation across industries and value chains. Yet many SMEs remain on the sustainability sidelines and struggle to see the benefits of going green amidst other competing business and operational priorities.

Larger organisations are uniquely positioned to change this narrative by virtue of their business influence and buying power. These ‘Queen Bees’ can play pivotal roles in connecting SME partners and suppliers to green solutions, incentivising green behaviours through procurements and supply chain access, and uplifting SMEs by partnering the public and private sectors to drive collective recognition of good performers.

This session brings together leading Queen Bees to share their initiatives to generate ecosystem-wide impacts, and insights from walking the sustainability journey with SMEs.
