    I am the Head of Web3 for Banking Circle, a B2B Wholesale Bank licensed in Luxembourg with branches/subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Norway, Liechtenstein, Australia, Singapore, Germany and the UK. I am responsible for the Web3 initiatives in Banking Circle and relationships with the digital asset community including initiatives on Stablecoin issuance and Tokenised Deposits. Banking Circle is regulated by the CSSF in Luxembourg and supervised as branches in UK by FCA, in Germany by BAFIN and in Denmark by the Danish FSA.
     
    I lead the Bank to launch the first bank-issued MICA compliant stablecoin in Europe - EURITE (ticker: EURI). The stablecoin is issued as a e-money token under MICA. I am also responsible for the bank’s innovation strategy in the blockchain space eg Bank Circle’s partnership with Ant Group to work on a liquidity management project using tokenised deposits which will improve efficiency and speed of global fund settlements.
     
    I left DBS in Dec 2021 after 22 years of service to set up a Digital Asset Custody and Prime Services Business in Europe together with Calvin Cheng, the former Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore. Together with Calvin, we set up Damoon Technology in Switzerland and in Liechtenstein (TVTG licence under the FMA). The entity in Switzerland (VQF  in the Canton of Zug) eventually became Anchored Coins AG (the largest EU stablecoin issuer pre-MICA). We also set up Calvin Cheng Web3 FZE in Dubai and obtained a Dubai VARA Provisional Licence.
     
    I am on the board of directors of Coins U Trust (the crypto currency exchange that was co-founded by Xinxi Wang, who co-founded the Litecoin Foundation) and an adviser in TechstormTV, an e-sports media company.
     
    I was the Head of Business and Listing for the DBS Digital Exchange and was in the founding team working on this project since 2018. I was also involved in other blockchain related projects within the DBS Group including being part of the team that set-up Climate Impact X. 
     
    Prior to the DBS Digital Exchange, I was the Executive Director and Head of Electronic Trading servicing intermediaries (broker-clients), digital exchanges, high frequency traders and market makers in the electronic trading space. I have experience in dealing with various regulators and exchanges across the region. I was also responsible for the ETF business. My previous roles in DBS include Research Compliance and also Project Manager for the implementation of a Trading System and FIX order routing infrastructure. I speak regularly in conferences / forums / seminars on electronic trading, fintech, cryptocurrencies and FIX order routing. I was also involved in many corporate finance related deals and placements (including internal integration and joint-ventures in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, UK and Korea). Prior to joining DBS Securities in 1999, I worked in equity sales, sales trading and research with WI Carr. Before that, I was doing research and was a Data Analysis Tutor at the University of Cambridge. 
     
    I have an MBA, an LLM in Commercial Law and a First Class Honours degree in Psychology. My MBA studies was sponsored by DBS Securities, while my LLM programme was sponsored by DBS Vickers Securities. I am also a Chartered Industrial Fellow of the Global Fintech Institute and an EXCO member of the Digital Asset Association.

    As a practitioner, I am the Founder of Lightbulb Capital in Hong Kong and Singapore. Previously, I was the CIO of the Modular Blockchain Fund at Modular Asset Management and the COO of HSBC Securities in Singapore. 
     
    As an academic, I am a Lecturer in ESSEC’s top-ranked Master in Finance program where I teach a course on FinTech and Digital Platforms in Finance. Previously I was an Affiliate Faculty Member at Singapore Management University where I taught executives courses on Blockchain & Digital Assets, and Decentralized Finance (DeFi). I was also a visiting professor at IE business school, where I received the teaching excellence award. 
     
    My research work investigates blockchain in the financial markets context, and has been published by various academic journals by Springer and MIT Press. I was also the Founding Associate Editor-in-Chief of  World Scientific’s Annual Review of Fintech journal. 
     
    I am completing my PhD in Finance at Erasmus University, and hold Master degrees in Innovation (SMU) and Finance (IE).
