Olivier Klein is an Executive in Residence at Amazon Web Services (AWS), based in Hong Kong. He has more than 20 years of experience leading technology strategy across Asia-Pacific and Europe, and his work sits where technology, operations, and architecture meet to drive innovation and business results.
As Executive in Residence, Olivier works with C-suite leaders at AWS's largest customers, where he helps them shape their strategy for agentic AI, modernise their organisations, and lead large-scale transformations that deliver measurable results. Additional he is a global technogoly thought leader for AWS.
Before this role, Olivier was AWS's Chief Technologist for Asia-Pacific. There he helped customers apply AI and machine learning, adopt proven global technical patterns, and build secure, resilient systems. Earlier, he led digital product strategy and platform engineering across Asia for a multinational publishing and education company and prior, he built a virtualised web services platform for an Internet Service Provider in Luxembourg.
Olivier holds an M.Sc. in Software Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences Trier.
