Lei Chen

Lei Chen is Vice President of FinVolution Group and Head of FINV Lab. He is among the first experts in Shanghai to hold a senior professional title in artificial intelligence and also serves as an industry supervisor at Zhejiang University. At FinVolution, he leads the application and research of data science and AI across customer acquisition, risk management, and operations, supporting business growth in China and overseas.

Before joining FinVolution, Lei held R&D and management roles at China Mobile, eBay, and Opera Solutions, focusing on big data and AI.

Lei Chen holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and was selected for the Frontier Engineering Doctoral Program at Peking University.
