Carine Smith Ihenacho is the Chief Governance and Compliance Officer in Norges Bank Investment Management, the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund. The fund has around USD 1. 5 trillion under management. She oversees the fund’s responsible investment activities, which includes how the fund follow-up its investments in more than 9,000 companies around the world. This also includes how the companies in the portfolio work with AI.
Carine has a long career as a lawyer, both in the financials and the oil and gas industry, as well as in law firms. She also has extensive board experience.
Ihenacho holds a law degree from the University of Oslo, a Master of Law from Harvard Law School and a Master of Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics.
