In an era defined by digital acceleration, the very technologies designed to empower us are also quietly eroding our mental well-being. With the rise of remote work, AI productivity tools, and 24/7 connectivity, the boundaries between work and life have all but disappeared. Many workers now find themselves overwhelmed, isolated, and constantly "on”, with little room to rest, disconnect, or recover.
Although wellness initiatives have gained traction, many still frame wellbeing as an individual issue rather than a structural one. Research form the The University of Oxford's Wellbeing Research Centre had found that individual-level wellbeing interventions, while popular, deliver little benefits and may even cause harm.
Increasingly, evidence points towards organisation-wide approaches as the more effective path forward. Singapore-registered IPC, WorkWell Leaders, for example, found that organisational wellbeing is the single most important driver of organisational performance, out of more than 200 factors studied.
