Hon. Caroline D Pham
Commissioner U.S. Commodity Futures Trading CommissionCecilia Skingsley
Head of BIS Innovation Hub Bank for International SettlementsCecilia Skingsley became Head of the BIS Innovation Hub in September 2022. She is a member of the BIS's Executive Committee. Previously, she held the position of First Deputy Governor of the Riksbank since November 2019.
Most recently she chaired the BIS's Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures Future of Payments Working Group, was the Governor of the Riksbank’s alternate on the General Council of the ECB and member of the Advisory Technical Committee (ATC) of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB).
Prior to holding the position of Deputy Governor of the Riksbank from May 2013 to November 2019, Ms Skingsley held various roles including Head of FX and Fixed Income Research and Chief Economist at Swedbank (2007-2013); financial journalist and Head of Financial Market Section at Dagens Industri (2000-2007); Macro Analyst, ABN Amro Bank (1998-2000).
Ms Skingsley holds a degree in economics and political science from Stockholm University. She received a financial analyst degree from SSE Executive Education at Stockholm School of Economics (formerly IFL at Stockholm School of Economics) and studied journalism at Poppius School of Journalism in Stockholm.
Changpeng Zhao
Founder & CEO BinanceChangpeng Zhao, known as CZ, is the CEO and Founder of Binance, the leading blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. Raised and educated in Canada, CZ started his career at Bloomberg Tradebook where he developed futures trading software for Wall Street. He then founded Fusion Systems which built high-frequency systems for brokers.
Before launching Binance in July 2017, he was involved in various cryptocurrency companies, including serving as Head of Technology for Blockchain.info (now known as Blockchain.com), the first bitcoin blockchain explorer. As an engineer who developed trading software for traditional financial platforms and the son of a professor who was exiled from China, CZ is passionate about the transparency and efficiency of crypto.
In 2020, CZ was recognized in Bloomberg 50 as one of the most influential people of the year who has changed the global business landscape. CZ studied computer science at Montreal’s McGill University.
Christopher Young
Executive Vice President, Business Development, Strategy and Ventures MicrosoftChristopher Young is executive vice president of business development, strategy and ventures at Microsoft. He is responsible for driving growth across the company by establishing strategic partnerships, setting corporate strategy and identifying high impact investments through Microsoft’s corporate venture arm.
Young is the former CEO of McAfee, LLC (2014-2020). In 2017 he led the initiative to spin McAfee out of Intel to become a standalone company. Under his leadership, McAfee grew to protect mission-critical systems and data for more than two-thirds of the Global 2000 and more than 500 million consumers.
Earlier in his career, Young led cybersecurity efforts at Cisco, RSA and AOL. He also led end user computing at VMware and cofounded the company Cyveillance.
Young currently serves on the board of directors for American Express and as a member of the Cybersecurity Advisory Committee for the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. He was formerly a board member of Snap Inc., cybersecurity data analytics firm Rapid7 and the Cyber Threat Alliance, and has served on the board of trustees of Princeton University.
Young holds an A.B. degree cum laude from Princeton University, and an M.B.A. degree with distinction from the Harvard Business School. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.
Diogo Mónica
Co-founder & President Anchorage DigitalDiogo holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the Technical University of Lisbon, and has worked in software security for over 15 years. As an early employee at Square, he worked with Nathan on the infrastructure security platform now used to move over $80B in annualized GPV. Diogo led the team that built the identity, access management, and response systems, helping Square earn a pristine reputation in the information security community as having best-in-class production security practices. At Docker, he and Nathan built and led the security team, and their code helps secure one of the core underpinnings of modern infrastructure: containers.
Diogo is a sought-after public speaker on the topics of usable security, cryptography, and distributed systems, and serves as an advisor and board member to numerous startups. He served as a member of the technical oversight board of the Open Container Initiative, and volunteers for IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization, having served as the Chair of both the Disruptive Innovations and Public Visibility committees, reporting directly to the IEEE board of directors. Diogo holds dozens of patents in the fields of cryptography, payments, and security. Projects he maintains are industry standards for security, including the Notary project, accepted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation; and the Glacier protocol, the gold standard for personal Bitcoin cold storage.
Huey Lin
Venture Partner GGV CapitalHuey Lin is a Venture Partner with GGV Capital where she supports and advises the fund's portfolio companies.
Huey is an experienced fintech operator. She was the founding Chief Operating Officer at Affirm (NYSE: AFRM). She was responsible for building the G&A, Business and Customer Operations teams. Huey began her career at PayPal as one of the company’s first product managers. She subsequently spent more than a decade at the firm where she led China and Asia-Pacific operations in addition to serving in key leadership roles in product, international risk, and policy strategy.
Most recently, she was the President of Asia at Flexport, a modern freight forwarder and one of the fastest-growing companies in global trade. She led all activities for Flexport across Asia, the company’s most strategic market.
Huey holds a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University and an A.M. from Stanford University. Huey is currently an active angel investor, board member and advisor.
Jaynti Kanani
Co-founder PolygonJaynti Kanani is the cofounder of Polygon (formerly Matic Network), the first made-in-India cryptocurrency unicorn. Polygon ranks among the top 20 biggest cryptos globally and has become a massive hit in India.
An entrepreneur with a focus on product, users, market, design and marketing. His hands-on approach to blockchain has roots in his own experience as a technologist.
He has led the (scaling) research in blockchain space, helping blockchain start-ups build better products and has made effective contributions to Web3, Plasma, and Wallet-Connect.
Jeremy Allaire
Co-founder, Chairman & CEO CircleJeremy is responsible for strategy, vision and operating execution at Circle. He brings more than two decades of experience building and leading global internet software platforms, including founder and CEO of Brightcove, technologist and entrepreneur in residence at General Catalyst, CTO of Macromedia, and co-founder and CTO of Allaire Corporation. Jeremy has provided expert testimony on digital assets and monetary policy before the US Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Government Affairs, US Senate Banking Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. He has also been named to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) High-Level Advisory Group on FinTech.
