Danielle is promoting the adoption of responsible AI and data analytics in the financial sector, at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Her career vision is to transform the financial industry by the power of data and technology. Upon graduation with double honours degrees in quantitative finance and business administration from National University of Singapore, Danielle started her career as a quant, building risk management systems for banks and asset management companies. In 2015, she built a quantitative investment strategy of ETF portfolios for one of the pioneering robo-advisors in Singapore. She joined MAS in 2017 to start a couple of supervisory technology projects such as capturing stock market manipulation using machine learning. Danielle is now leading the NovA! initiative that applies AI in the ESG spaces to accelerate the progress towards a net zero economy.
