Ali is the worldwide VP of Azure AI Platform, Customer eXperience Engineering, responsible for Azure OpenAI (GPT4, ChatGPT..), Azure AI Services, Azure Search, & Azure ML customer engineering, tooling, product planning, business strategy, product commercialization, & strategic engineering engagements. Ali is a Board Member at the Linux Foundation AI & Data, and a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) International Technology Advisory Panel (ITAP), helping shape the AI Fintech strategy in Singapore. He is a global, broad, multi-disciplinary leader with 28+ years’ experience in the tech industry across business, product, engineering, research, M&A, corporate strategy, product & startup incubations, VC’s.

He has held many senior leadership roles at Microsoft, built multiple businesses from the grounds up and scaled them, drove product incubations, and in his current tole, has scaled Microsoft’s AI business to a multi-billion dollar one with worldwide scale. He holds patents in Computer Vision, as co-inventor (USPO Patents 10748001, 10748002, 20190332864 A1). He holds B.Sc. in Business Administration in Computer Applications & Systems. He has lived in Europe, MEA, and currently lives in Washington State, USA with his family. He enjoys the outdoors, is an avid reader, and loves to travel and learn about new cultures.
