Aaron WongCEO PayPal Pte Ltd (Singapore)
As VP, Global Entity Management & Oversight, and CEO & Chairman of PayPal Pte Ltd, Aaron is responsible for the governance and regulatory agenda for PayPal’s international legal entity structure. He partners with the business to provide regulatory advice to drive growth initiatives and accountability for the legal entity.
Aaron has over two decades of experience in finance, business development and general management across the industrial and financial services industries. He spent 12 years with General Electric corporate office and GE Capital and has lived in more than 10 cities as an international executive. His roles at GE included being the Corporate CFO for ASEAN, overseeing $5B in orders across the Power, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Healthcare & Transportation businesses, as well as CFO of GE Capital Bank Hong Kong, where he successfully steered the bank through the 2008 global financial crisis.
Prior to GE, Aaron was with automotive interiors leader Johnson Controls, where he led the APAC finance teams across various manufacturing facilities, and successfully negotiated three joint ventures in China and two acquisitions in South Korea.
Aaron has an MBA from IMD Lausanne, a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from University of South Australia and a CPA from Australia. He is married with two lovely children and devotes his spare time to volunteering; plus being PayPal APAC’s Community Impact sponsor.
Adeolu BajomoPresident FinTechNGR
Ade Bajomo was appointed to the Board of Access Bank Plc as Executive Director for Technology and Operations in 2018 to reposition the digital competitiveness and operational excellence initiatives of the leading Retail Bank. Prior to that, he worked at the Nigerian Stock Exchange as Executive Director for Market Operations and Technology, where he delivered market wide transformational initiatives that repositioned the Exchange in the top three in Africa.
He has a global career spanning over 30 years largely in the City of London and has held several senior leadership positions across several industries, including Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets. Bajomo has led major business transformation and service improvement programmes and driven business growth initiatives. He has also spearheaded technology and operations integration of acquired entities in different sectors at a global level.
Ade is currently the President of FintechNGR, the leading FinTech ecosystem facilitator in Nigeria with over 275 members. He graduated with a B.Sc degree in Engineering from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). He holds an M.Sc degree with distinction in Information Systems from South Bank University, and an MBA from CASS Business School, City University London. He is a chartered member of the British Computer Society and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
Dr Adesola AdeduntanCEO FirstBank Group
Dr. Adesola Adeduntan is an accomplished professional with distinctive international and domestic experience in commercial and investment banking, development finance, audit, and consulting; a philanthropist and leader with keen interest in providing platforms for the development of other young leaders.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Group, the commercial banking arm of FBN Holdings Plc, which comprises First Bank of Nigeria and subsidiaries including FBNBank UK, FBNBank DRC, FBNBank Ghana, FBNBank Senegal, FBNBankGuinea, FBNBank Gambia, FBNBank Sierra Leone and First Pension Custodian as well as Representative Offices in France and China. He is overseeing one of the most extensive transformation programmes in sub-Saharan African financial services industry, with the goal to reposition FirstBank Group to market pre-eminence. He is leading FirstBank Group on the journey to win the most significant emerging business opportunities in the financial services industry through the development and execution of a digital-led strategy that has established FirstBank as the dominant player in digital banking. FirstBank Group’s transformation programme, under the leadership of Adesola, has enabled the Bank to: grow customer accounts from about 10 million in 2015 to over36 million (including digital wallets), become the second largest issuer of cards in Africa with over 11.8 million issued cards, onboard over 18.6 million active customers on FirstBank’s digital banking platforms, and initiate and grow the most expansive bank-led Agent Banking Network in Africa with over 167,000 agents.
Adesola is currently on the Boards of FBN Holdings Plc, FBNBankUK Ltd, Shared Agent Network Expansion Facilities Ltd (SANEF), and Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS). He was previously an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of FirstBank Group. Prior to FirstBank, he was a Director and pioneer CFO/Business Manager of Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). At AFC, he led the team that designed and executed the Corporation’s “International Credit Rating Strategy”, which culminated in the Corporation being assigned an A3 international credit rating by Moody’s, making it the second highest rated lending entity in Africa. Adesola also served as a Senior Vice-President & CFO at Citibank Nigeria Limited, a Senior Manager in the Financial Services Group of KPMG Professional Services and a Manager at Arthur Andersen.
His career in banking and finance, spanning almost three decades, has earned him various recognitions and awards including an Honorary Doctor of Science by Cranfield University, United Kingdom, Forbes Best of Africa – Outstanding Leader in Africa, Distinguished Alumnus Award by both the Cranfield University’s School of Management and the University of Ibadan, African Banking Personality of the Year, African Banker of the Year Award and induction into the African Leadership Magazine (ALM) Hall of Fame, Honorary Citizenship of the State of Georgia and Congressional Commendation Award from the Georgia Senate – USA, A House Resolution for contributing to the social, economic and environmental development of Africa by House of Representatives, South Carolina, USA, Bank CEO of the Year by the AES Excellence Club, Banking Icon of the Decade Award by The Sun, and African Banking Leadership Legacy Award by the African Leadership Organization, amongst several others.
He holds an MBA from Cranfield University Business School, United Kingdom, which he attended as a Chevening Scholar, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) awarded by University of Ibadan. He has attended various executive and leadership programmes at Harvard Business School (USA), Wharton School (USA), London Business School (UK), IESE (Spain), University of Oxford (UK), University of Cambridge (UK), CEIBS (China) and INSEAD (France). Alberto IsgutEconomic Affairs Officer UNESCAP
Alberto Isgut is Economic Affairs Officer at the Financing for Development Section of ESCAP, where he is responsible for the preparation of knowledge products and capacity building activities with a recent focus on sustainable financing and digital financing. Prior to this, he worked on MSME financing and was a lead author of the Economic and Social Survey for Asia and the Pacific and other ESCAP flagship publications. Before joining ESCAP he was Assistant Professor at the Economics Department of Wesleyan University. Mr. Isgut has a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Toronto.
Amrish RauCEO Pine Labs
Amrish Rau is the CEO of Pine Labs. He leads the company's growth and expansion in Asia and beyond. He has over two decades of experience in the fintech space, having run his own startup and built large organizations.
Prior to Pine Labs, Amrish co-founded Citrus Pay which was acquired by Naspers FinTech, PayU in 2016. Post the acquisition, he was made the CEO for PayU India and later took over as head of Investments for Naspers where he was responsible for increasing the company's footprint in the financial technology sector.
Amrish started his fintech journey with First Data Corporation in 2005. Later, as Managing Director for First Data Asia he helped build a market-leading payments joint venture with ICICI Bank. Prior to First Data, Amrish spent eight years with NCR Corporation where he started in business development and went on to head the company's data warehousing and CRM division, Teradata, as Managing Director.

Andrew McCormack is the Centre Head for the Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub (BISIH) in Singapore. Prior to this appointment at the BIS in 2020, Andrew was the Chief Information Officer at Payments Canada and was responsible for Canada’s clearing and settlement systems. As a technology and innovation leader, Andrew led a number of well-known Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) initiatives including Project Jasper (w/ Bank of Canada) and Project Dunbar (BIS), as well as ground-breaking work on real-time cross-border payment systems known as Project Nexus (BIS). Andrew has an MBA from the Ivey Business School and Bachelor of Computer Science from Carleton University.

Mr Ang Chai Soon is the Assistant Chief Executive of The Institute of Banking and Finance, Singapore. He oversees the Career Advisory; Communications and Engagement; and Workforce and Talent Development teams.
