As part of SFF x SWITCH 2019, many participating innovation labs across Singapore will open for visits on 14 and 15 November 2019. The Lab Crawl offers a good opportunity for participants to network with startups and key innovation players. Plan your route and visit as many labs as you can, to learn and experience the latest innovations happening in the industry. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, as places are limited.

Innovation Cybersecurity Ecosystem at Block71 (ICE71) is the region’s first cybersecurity entrepreneur hub. Based in Singapore, ICE71 is a partnership between Singtel Innov8, the venture capital arm of the Singtel Group, and the National University of Singapore (NUS), through its entrepreneurial arm NUS Enterprise. ICE71 is strengthening the region’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem by attracting and developing competencies and deep technologies to help mitigate the rapidly increasing cybersecurity risks in the region.


Supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and Info-Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), ICE71 runs a range of programmes designed to support cybersecurity individuals and start-ups from idea development to the creation, acceleration and scaling of cybersecurity start-ups. ICE71 Inspire and ICE71 Accelerate are run by CyLon, Europe’s leading cybersecurity accelerator and active investor in early stage cybersecurity start-ups. CyLon’s global cybersecurity network and expertise, combined with ICE71’s regional knowledge and ecosystem, provides entrepreneurs and start-ups with the support and go-to-market access required to scale a successful cybersecurity business in the region.

At the same time, we have a role in incubating growth stage start-ups and supporting their journeys through our resources and added facilities of a Demo Deck and Dry Lab, which allows for prototyping and product development.

Focusing on reinventing global trade and financing and improving operational KYC processes as we know them, we explore, experiment and validate problems through PACE, a structured process developed by ING that includes governance and funding for our ventures and the partners we work with. We aim to bring disruptive ideas to market by leveraging ING’s experience, data and network with the knowledge and skills of others in order to enhance our ability to serve the needs of our customers with solutions that address their challenges.

Innosparks, an Open Lab by ST Engineering, is the first of its kind engineering-based incubator in Singapore. As a dynamic innovation platform and springboard to new and disruptive technologies, the Open Lab offers advanced resources such as a pool of skilled engineers, access to advanced equipment and labs to support innovators in accelerating the development and commercialisation of their ideas to prototypes and products. The Open Lab has opened its doors to innovators from ST Engineering, as well as to start-ups / early stage companies locally and internationally to collaborate and develop new concepts with an expert team of engineers at the Open Lab.

Designed for open access, the Open Lab serves to accelerate technology innovation, encourage experimentation, foster entrepreneurialism and collaboration to attract the best and brightest engineering talent and ideas to the Group. Innosparks offers multi-disciplinary applied engineering capabilities through facilities such as a Mechanical & Control Lab, Electronics & Electrical Lab, Material & Chemical Lab, Software Lab and Design Lab, and a full suite of prototyping and development equipment. It is sited in Singapore’s JTC LaunchPad @ one-north, a vibrant and nurturing environment for start-ups and incubators.
