Subroto Bagchi is a well-known Indian entrepreneur, business writer and a public servant. As an entrepreneur, he is best known for co-founding Mindtree in 1999. Mindtree is one of India’s most admired software services companies. The company is publicly listed, it employs 16000 professionals and serves leading corporations of the World. At Mindtree, Bagchi held several positions of responsibilities and eventually rose to be its Executive Chairman.
In 2016, Bagchi handed over his corporate responsibilities at Mindtree and took up a full- time, pro-bono role as Chairman of the newly set up Odisha Skill Development Authority in the rank of a Cabinet Minister.
