Nadiem Makarim is the CEO and Founder of GO-JEK, the first technology company of Indonesia origin that achieves the unicorn status. GO-JEK is the largest consumer on-demand platform and digital wallet provider (through GO-PAY) in Indonesia with market leadership in key categories such as ride-hailing, online food delivery, instant courier and payments. GO-JEK’s partner fleet today exceeds 200,000 motorcycles, cars and trucks combined.
Previously, Nadiem worked in several online platforms including Kartuku, as the Chief Innovation Officer; Zalora Indonesia as the Co-Founder and Managing Director. Prior to his work in Zalora, Nadiem spent 3 years working as a consultant in McKinsey &
Company in Indonesia after receiving his bachelor degree.
Nadiem holds a BA from Brown University, major in International Relations. He received an MBA degree from Harvard University in 2012.
