Mark Jamison leads Visa’s flagship, state-of-the-art, One Market Center in San Francisco. The first in a global network of Visa innovation centers, One Market Center hosts hundreds of clients and partners annually who are looking to learn more about Visa’s innovation agenda and co-create new payment solutions for their customers. Mark manages a team that maintains a focus on “what’s next” in digital commerce and payments platforms including tokenization, the blockchain, human-centered design, and emerging mobile capabilities.
Mark is a recognized FinTech pioneer and a proven corporate leader of digital transformation. Prior to his role leading One Market Center, Mark was the head of New Product R&D and Design for Visa Inc. Before joining Visa, Mark was the Global Head of Customer Solution and Digital Transformation for BBVA in Madrid, one of the 10 largest banks in the world. In this role, Mark managed all consumer banking and insurance products across 36 operating countries, established a global design function, and led BBVA’s Big Data and analytics teams. Mark also previously served as the Chief Digital Officer for Capital One Bank and the founding executive leader of Capital One Labs. The Capital One Labs team continues to be recognized as one of the industry’s top applied innovation centers.
As a FinTech entrepreneur early in his career, Mark founded and ran MaxMiles, the web’s first online personalized account aggregation service which was acquired by American Express’ venture arm in early 2000.
Mark has an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School and a B.S. in Business Administration and Religious Philosophy from Indiana University. He has also completed Business Ethics courses at London Business School and has an executive degree in Design Thinking from Stanford’s Hasso-Plattner Institute of Design.
Mark lives in Mill Valley, California and is married to Cory Jamison, a nationally known jazz singer and recording artist. Although Mark believes he is a legitimate jazz pianist, his wife only hires real players for all of her paying gigs.
