Anju Patwardhan is Managing Director with CreditEase China for its global Fintech Investment Fund (USD 1 billion) and Fund of Funds and is a member of the Investment Committee.
She is also 2016 Fulbright Fellow at Stanford University where her research was on ‘Fintech and Financial Inclusion’.
Anju has over 25 years of banking experience with Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank in global leadership roles across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
She is a member of the World Economic Forum steering committee on ‘Disruptive Innovation in Financial Services’ and a member of its Global Future Council on Blockchain. She is FinTech Industry Expert at UC Berkeley, a Distinguished Fellow of Singapore Institute of Banking and Finance (Risk Management), Innovation Fellow with National University of Singapore, and Fintech Faculty at Singularity University.
She is a globally recognized and awarded Fintech thought leader and influencer and was recently ranked number 1 globally by Bank Innovation in its 2017 list of “44 Innovators to Watch”. She has spoken on Fintech and financial inclusion at the World Economic Forum (WEF), United Nations, G20 SME Finance Forum, ADB and at other global events.
She is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Bangalore.
